This blog entry narrates about all teh violence and bad treatment that Iraqi’s are getting now a days. It mentions how many people are kidnapped and that killings and dead bodies in the street is becoming a usual and unpredictable daily icident. Also, children haven’t gone outside yet, due to the insecurity and the closing of the universities and schools. Therefore, this person is trying to transmit to all of the readers the bad time and situation there are currently.

Wether this blog entry is reliable or not, i would say it is somewhat reliable dueto certain circumstances. FIrst, the way he uses his facts and the use of language,  seems to me as if he is telling the truth, since he is describing the situation in detail. Secondly, it looks like his name is Al Tarrar which is commonly known as a Middle East name. Therefore, simply by reading the use of language and the facts he used describing the streets in Baghdad and the situation i can dedce is it somewhat reliable. However, no matter how reliable anythings seems to be you can never be sure of it and also he hasn’t posted or said from where and when did he get the information. Since he does not quote newspapers or any articles, it seems to be pretty biased. However he does paraphrase a lot, which means that it is somewhat reliable.

Do we need USA longer?

It is a Baghdada entry which describes that the American presence in Iraq should continue because if not, Iraq would definently fail. ALso, it says that eventhough there are complains and corruption for te next four years due to the new Iraqi’s government inexperince, US should stay to maintain order, and since they’ve started it is good that they finish succesfully.

This source is not a question if it is reliable or not since it’s a personal opinion, however it is totally reliable since many people in the US think the same about this situation.  Many people agree with this statement, therefore it means that it could perfectly be reliable. HOwever it coukld definently not be the appropiate choice to take, yet it is a correct opinion that a percent of people agree with this statement. ALso, newspapers headline have also said the same thing.1 Iraq new government inexperince and insecuriy of Iraq without the US military. Finally the fact that it is reliable doesn’t mean it is not biased since the writer is presenting his own personal opinion about what he thinks the United States should do. For example, “For the new regime, I am seeing that there will be more corruption for at least four years”. THis clealry shows the biased opinion showed in the bolg entry.

While debating the situation in Iraq, I clearly realized that there were better benefits and disadvantages for each option that the US could take. I was somewhat asigned to debate favoring option 1: increasing Iraqi troops, eventhough I wasn’t that comfortable with that option. So, I am not quite sure what option I would i see all options has great choices to make with major benefits. Nevertheless, i would primarily choose option number 3, which was evacuating from Iraq. I have three major reasosns why i would probably pick this option. First of all, there has been around 4,000 American deaths already and nobody wants violence in this actual war. This is definently true. The fact that a portion of people think that increasing the troops would memory all the American deaths is irrelevant since more deaths would occur and violence would increase. Back in the old days (around the 17th century) troops would generally say: “Let’s fight for are family, for all are friends and peers who have died in this miserable war, let’s simply win for them”. This is a typicall phrase a general of a troop would say. However are actual society has incredibly improved and took in acount what bad actions could possibly harm the most of people.  Therefore this argument of honoring the deaths is totally invalid now a days. Secondly, i would prefer this opton since it avoid’s external conflicts from other nations such as Britain and France, which would probably take action as well in any certain way. At last, optin 3 would be most succesfull since it would avoid the decrease of the American economic crisis, the Iraq economic crisis and in  whole the world’s economic status. Yet, I would preferably mix in some why two options. One, offering Iraq with enough resources and elements to carry on by themselves without the presence of the American soldiers.

I would think genocides are are inevitable. It i true that genocides will always be present in this day-to-day society in which we live in. There are so many conflicts and disagreements among all, that there is always going to be a genocide which nobody can avoid. Therefore, genocides will never dissapear, however maybe they minimize the damage and deaths in the future. Yet, what will always be present in aour society are disagreements among different races sinc there has always been. People disagree with some other rule or condition imposed on a certain race and revolt against it to obtain what they really want. As a result, genocides are inevitable and will always appear frequnetly each year.

 Who is the target Audience?The target audience clearly is for all the fathers, it demonstrates the prove of love towards their son because they don’t want him to discover the reality, since it his horrible. It shows the way fathers can do anything for their son, in this case, deforming the reality and disguising the truth from him, so he can enjoy a better youth life.  It also includes all those who want to learn, experience and get a sense of how life was for a standardized Italian family. How are the individuals and groups of people being represented or misrepresented in the film?There are certain individuals who are being represented in this movie, “Life is Beautiful”. First, it represents how a father or a man  did in those concentration camps, work and suffer. Then, it also demonstrates the hard life which woman also lived trough, cleaning, organizing and doing jobs for men. Second, it misrepresents a little kid’s life, since In the movie the kid hides the whole time from the nazis, therefore it shows a extremely rare situation of a kid in that time. Last, groups such as the nazis were perfectly represented; maligned, cruel and vindictive, who have the mission to exterminate all Jews.  Jews, are also represented as a whole, respectful, frightened by the nazis and poor looking lives.  What do you think the meaning for the narrative is? Why was it created?The meaning of this movie, is to show to what extent can a father do for their son, so they can have an enjoy full and happy life. The father disguised the truth about the Holocaust, so the kid would not get afraid and could delight a long life. Furthermore, this movie was created, one to show this aspect about being a great gather, and second to let other people, such as us to learn about some experiences people had with the concentration camps.  Were stereotypes being perpetuated or broken down?In this film, stereotypes were definitely being broken down since the protagonist actions were not usual of a typical Jew in a concentration camp for two major reasons: First, he did not care about what would happen to him and he decided to take care of his son and protect him from the nazis. Secondly, he demonstrated optimism, that life has to be good in whatever situation one is in.  Did you like the film?Yes, I certainly liked the film, since it provided a great emotional example of how a Jewish family lived in a concentration camp. One of the many factors of why I liked this movie, is because the protagonist, the father, is a very brave, strong willed and optimistic person. During the movie he does everything he can so his son does not discover the real truth of the Holocaust, to exterminate all the Jewish people.   

“What is done cannot be undone”——– Does this define who you are? Can you escape past deeds? Are you a product of what you have done?

This statement does not defne my personality. A statement does not usually define who a person is and hw he or she react. It is certainly true that some specific acts such as insulting a person cannot be fixed. Howeever there are ways to try to solve it or make it look as if it’s not such a big conflict: telling the person w has been insulted sorry and that it will not happen again. If someone has a reputation of “farting in class”, one can esasily fix the reputation by trying not to do taht act again. If a person lies to someone, the person is not to be meant as a liar for his /her entire life. The person is meant to be a layer only for tyhat specific time which he or she told the lie.

For the second question my opinion is that you can definently escape from past deeds if it does not involve a serious action. One could possible escape from a deed by correcting himself and try doing what is asked to be done. Assorted deeds could escape easily such as reputations, fights, values, however there are other deeds that cannot escape taht easily such as commiting a terrorist attack on aa country…This fact is hard to escape since it created many people to issue with this problem and deal with a angry government.

Yes, definently, i am a product of what i have done in my life. For example, playing hokey made me a more sportie person  and feel the competition. Other exapmles, traveling to the best places of the world US, Italy France, England made me love traveling. These are clear examples of me that reflect on the person who i am by the actions that I have done in my life.
